Installation

Docentric AX can be installed using the following deployment options:

• Model Files
  You will be able to see, debug or extend Docentric AX source code.
  This deployment option is preferred and it is typically used when you deploy Docentric AX to your development environment. Docentric AX models and packages become a part of your regular deployments to staging and production environments.
• Deployment Package
  You will not be able to see, debug or extend Docentric AX source code. Nevertheless, you will be able to use all APIs provided by Docentric AX in order to customize the built-in SSRS reports, or invoke any other functionality provided by Docentric AX.
  This deployment option is rarely used for development environments and it is recommended when you deploy Docentric AX directly in staging or production environments with the assumption that no coding will be required for report customization using Docentric AX.
