Docentric AX 3.4.9 Released

Great news! 📢 Docentric version 3.4.9 is here 🚀.

This version is packed with Free Edition features, and some of them are just fabulous 🤩

In this release, we’re excited to introduce the Power Trio: Docentric Table Browser, Docentric Label Browser and Docentric Query Browser. Scroll down to discover why they’re fabulous!

On top of that, we’ve completed our improvements to License plate labels, allowing Docentric templates to be designed using Label layout data sources. This is a key advantage, as these query-based data sources can be created without involving developers and don’t require deployment.

1️⃣ Docentric Query Browser:
- Build ad-hoc queries directly within D365FO and save them per user.
- Select which table fields and methods to include in the query results.
- Add related tables with configurable join mode.
- Use Aggregate, Group by and Having options.
- Preview query results and export them to Excel.
- With ad-hoc queries, you gain ad-hoc reporting capabilities 💪🏽

- Search system labels directly within D365FO – no Visual Studio needed.
- Labels added through customization are included in the search.
- Search by label ID or translation in selected languages using advanced Find options.

3️⃣ Docentric Table Browser:
- Opens AX tables within D365FO, allowing CRUD operations in development environments.
- Provides quick access to Docentric Query Browser and Docentric Label Browser.
- Displays tables and fields along with their IDs and SQL names, and allows searching all tables by Table ID, Table name or SQL name.

Improved Collections process automation emailing
- Enhanced System email templates: Design templates using a rich HTML editor with placeholders.
- Improved emailing: Send emails via Batch email sending status using (Docentric) email distributor batch. Attach corresponding open invoices, retrieved from configurable invoice sources with fallback options.

Improved eInvoice attachments
- A new eInvoice attachment field is added to the Attachments of journal records. This field is automatically set when an eInvoice attachment is created via SSRS, ER or Docentric printing.
- Only one eInvoice attachment is allowed per journal record. Use the new flag for retrieving the invoice document for custom scenarios, such as e-Invoicing.
Send emails without attached report output file
- Configure this option on the Print destination settings form > Docentric email print destination.
- Useful for custom scenarios, such as sending relevant data in the email body.

Open Attachments in tabular view
- Configure this option per user – in User options.

✨ Full Edition Features:

Use Label layout data sources to design License plate labels based on Docentric templates.
The queries behind Label layout data sources are created using the enhanced built-in Query form, which is an instance of the Docentric Query Browser initialized with specific parameters.
In the Document routing setup, fallback printers are now supported for Docentric templates.
