FAQ

Will I Stagnate Professionally by Working in the Business Documents and Reporting Domain

Not at all! Business documents and reports touch almost every business process in Dynamics 365, from invoices and quotes to warehouse operations, and involve document design, generation, post-processing, security, multi-channel distribution and archiving.

You’ll gain deep business knowledge while working with advanced technologies such as document processing, digital signatures, email providers, e-invoicing standards, most of the built-in Dynamics 365 frameworks, Azure, SharePoint, Power Platform, Microsoft Graph, Microsoft 365, and much of the broader Microsoft technology stack.

It’s a complex, cross-cutting field that builds both your business and technical skills.

Product vs. Service Development Mindset: What’s the Difference

Product development demands a higher quality bar. Once a feature is released to thousands of users, there’s no way back without introducing breaking changes – the feature has to be polished, reliable, and extensible from day one.

Every detail matters: from diagnostics messages and user experience to maintainability and alignment with Microsoft updates. We design with vision, accountability, and perfection in mind.

Unlike services that can be “fire and forget”, where tight deadlines often leave little space for polishing, products live on, evolve, and support users who depend on them every day.

Why Architects Own Product Feature Design at Docentric

Our product is highly technical and complex, and we hold ourselves to a very high-quality bar when it comes to Product Feature Design (why? – see the Product vs. Service Development Mindset chapter). That’s why Product Feature Design is a responsibility reserved for Software and Solution Architects with deep, inside-out technical knowledge – both of Dynamics 365 and of how technical products are typically designed.

So, what makes a feature well-designed? It works best for users: simple, intuitive, and self-explanatory, even without documentation. A Product Feature Designer ensures that features are lean by design yet powerful enough to support advanced scenarios, at least through code customization, while always being guided by a long-term product vision.

Why Product Content Production Is Critical

A great product is only half the story – people need to hear about it. Documentation is just the start. Blog posts and tutorials with simple explanations of complex functionalities, feature highlights on websites, brochures and flyers, conference session content, community conversations on social media – all of these make a product visible, understandable, and valuable. And in today’s AI-first era of product discovery, this isn’t optional – it’s essential.

That’s why Product Content Production is so highly valued at Docentric. It takes a rare mix of deep technical knowledge and strong communication to create messaging that is clear, actionable, and helpful.

What We Mean by Leadership

At Docentric, leadership means servant leadership – a philosophy where leaders serve their teams first, focusing on empowering people, removing obstacles, and creating the conditions for others to thrive.

Our leaders are experts themselves, able to see the big picture while also understanding deep technical aspects, so they can make the best possible decisions for the product, people, teams, and business.

They act as culture ambassadors and information hubs. Strong information flow helps build employees’ business acumen, improve transparency, and keep everyone aligned with our goals, vision, and values. Above all, Docentric leaders constantly seek win–wins for both employees and the company.

What Community Evangelism Means at Docentric

For us, Community Evangelism means sharing knowledge, promoting our expertise and Docentric products, and building relationships across the Dynamics ecosystem.

From speaking at conferences and user groups to sponsoring them, blogging, engaging on social media, podcasts, and forums, we actively connect with Tech and BizTech experts and influencers, MVPs, Microsoft leaders and engineers, partners, and end users to strengthen the community.

Can I Combine Different Types of Work and Roles

Absolutely! We love finding win–wins that let you fulfill your potential, use your talents, and thrive. For example, if you have a mixed profile, you might combine roles, from Solution Architect (hands-on coding) to Community Evangelist (speaking at events, networking with community members), contributing to Technical Writing, Product Marketing or Presales, or supporting Digital Transformation initiatives.

On the other hand, if you prefer to keep a narrow and deep focus, we’ll be just as happy, because your cutting-edge expertise will drive real impact in our most complex challenges.

Remote Work at Docentric

We’re a remote-first company with HQ in Kranj, Slovenia, providing all the equipment you need and ensuring remote never means disconnected.

Regular company-wide meetings for sharing news, updates, and insights from different teams, along with learning sessions and even quick games, keep us aligned and engaged, while four week-long in-person gatherings each year bring us together for workshops, teambuilding, and fun.

Our structured onboarding, with a mentor and a buddy, helps every new colleague fully integrate within 3–6 months.

Flexible Workstyle

Our people choose when and where they work. Together with your team, you agree on the window for meetings and collaboration – the rest is up to you. Whether you’re at home, in a café, on a mountain, or even exploring the world as a digital nomad, we couldn’t care less 😊 – as long as everything is done professionally and as agreed with your team.

People Development

At Docentric, we know that brilliant products can only be built by brilliant people – which is why we invest heavily in developing expertise. Our employees dedicate up to 20% of their working time to learning: from online courses and workshops to conferences, self-learning, testing new technologies, frameworks, and approaches. This continuous focus on growth ensures our teams stay ahead, innovate, and build state-of-the-art solutions.

We also invest in soft skills to strengthen communication, empathy, and psychological safety, creating an environment where experts can collaborate effectively and thrive. Open, fast feedback and assertive, actionable communication help us avoid misunderstandings, keep us aligned, connected, and growing – both personally and professionally.

Salary

Competitive. But we don’t want you to work just for the salary. It’s basic hygiene. What matters to us is that you grow, thrive, and feel the impact of your contribution to both the product and the company’s success.
