SharePoint access token error

Hi all, we are on 10.0.41 PU65(7.0.7367.155) with the latest PQU. Docentric AX is 3.4.8.5, Docentric AX Extension is 3.4.8.5. In Tier-2 environment, when I try to upload a report to SharePoint, I am getting the following error.

Unable to obtain SharePoint access token. Details: An empty access token was returned. Authorization to SharePoint not possible.

It was working fine last week.

In the production and CHE, I don’t have this error.
Does anyone have this issue?

Thank you!

Hi @rurikookuno ,

welcome to the Docentric community!

Our first suggestion would be to upgrade to the latest version of Docentric, v3.4.9.1.

If the problem still persists, please check the latest post on this subject:

Important information about Docentric Extended SharePoint Security on D365FO versions 10.0.42+ - Docentric Forum

Please let us know how it goes.

Did the upgrade work or was it fixed some other way. We have the exact same scenario. Work in Stage (Tier-2) a few weeks ago and now it doesn’t. Works in Prod fine.

Hi Dragana, I upgraded to the latest version. It is working now. Thank you!

Hi Mel, yes, the upgrade worked. It is same for me. It was working until last week and stopped working in all Tier-2, while Prod is fine. also DEV (CHE) is also fine. Not sure what happened, but it is good upgrading fixed that. Thank you!

Hi @rurikookuno ,

It’s great to hear that the issue was resolved, and thank you for sharing your positive experience with the Docentric upgrade. Have a great day!

Hi @mheckman ,

Welcome to the Docentric community!

If you have not yet checked this forum post:

SharePoint connectivity when “Upgrade SharePoint user authentication” feature is enabled - Docentric Forum

please do, because it explains all the details about SharePoint user authentication changes, and you will find the answer to why it is different for different Stages.

Have a great day!

Now it started happening in the production with multiple customers. Thank you!

Hi @rurikookuno ,

Do you have all the information you need for solving the issue in the production?
Or do you need additional information?

Regards,
Albin

Beware with Docentric SSRS Replicas

Hi Albin, we have a problem with the batch connection. I run the powershell script in the article, but the connection in batch still fails. I appreciate if you could give me suggestions. Thank you!

Hi @rurikookuno,

Could you provide more details? Have you checked the batch log? What errors are you seeing?

Hi Amir, after one hour or so, it started working. It seems it just took time. Thank you!
