Sending Emails and Using the Download Email Button

We routinely use the Open email before sending option when emailing documents. Until 9/1/25, this was working well. We also had the ability to click on the Download email button in the preview to download the EML file via our browser. Neither are working now and we are getting warning messgages stating something went wrong.

Are there browser security settings that may block this? Our D365 URLs are in our Trusted sites. We are at a loss to understand why it just quit. Our last environment update was on 8/16 to 10.0.44 10.0.2263.74.

What are your Print destination settings?
Could it be that you have the ‘#’ character inside your email subject name? If so, this is a know issue others have reported, you can read more about it here.

Thank you. The # symbol in our Subject line was the issue, as you noted. We cleared it from the affected subject lines and functionality is restored.

I just wanted to let you know that while Microsoft has already released a fix for this issue, we’ve also addressed it in our latest release, 3.5.0, as per our Change Log:

>> Added sanitization of the pound symbol (#) in internal Azure Blob storage URLs, by replacing it with its percent-encoded value (%23). This prevents HTTP 403/409 errors caused by unencoded # characters.
