Print Bill of Lading three times with text 'Original, 'Customer Copy', 'Carrier Copy'

Hi, we have a requirement to print a bill of lading to a printer on three sheets of colour coded paper (similar to carbon copies). Each copy will have a different label to show who it is intended for- examples below.

Using number of copies will take care of the number of documents to print but is there a way to control the label on each printout either by producing all three from the same DSP or dynamically replacing text on each print? Any guidance greatly appreciated.

Sheet 1 - labelled ‘Original’

Sheet 2 - labelled ‘Customer Copy’

Sheet 3 - Labelled ‘Carrier Copy’

Hi @CCC,

Just so I understand the scenario correctly, are the three copies generated as one print job, or should the three copies be produced as separate print jobs, with each one having its corresponding label?

Hi Dalila, the print will be triggered as one print job and each BOL will have it’s own label.

Hi @CCC,

Before recommending the most suitable solution, we would like to clarify a few points with you:

  1. Is the document label information already available in the DSP file?
  2. Will the document need to be printed in multiple languages?
  3. Does each document copy require a specific paper color when printing?

Thank you in advance for confirming these details.

Hi Abir,

  1. We have not added the document label to the DSP.
  2. Yes, we will have two languages.
  3. Yes, the printer tray is loaded with the paper in the colour sequence.

Thanks!

Hi @CCC ,

We want to clarify a few more points:

  1. Could you please confirm exactly which SSRS Bill of Lading report you are using?
  2. Is the Bill of Lading always a single-page report in your scenario, or can it sometimes span multiple pages?

Thank you.

Hi Natasa, we are using the WHSBillOfLading.Report and our BOL is only one page.
