How to send automatic Emails without Using the Download Email Pop-up in Purchase order confirmation

Hello Support team,

We routinely use the Open email Pop-up before sending when emailing documents in Purchase order confirmation.

We click on any Purchase order confirmation Journal go to the next page. And then click on “Print/Preview” → “Use print management”, it actually first open an outlook email pop-up which is having all the information. like sender email, recipient email (from Vendor master setup), subject and body, then once we click on the send button and it sends the email.

We usually click on the Download email button in the preview to download the EML file via our browser.

Now the question is :- Is this the standard functionally or behavior of DoCentric or can we automate this email functionality without any manual intervention (without downloading the email pop-up, email file and then send it) ?

If we can automate sending email functionality without seeing/ downloading the pop-up, how can we do this ? Please provide the detailed steps.

Hi @AnujR,

By default, emails are sent automatically without any user action.
However, you have two extra options you can use if you want to review the report before sending or download the email file (.eml) to your computer.

In the Email print destination, you’ll find two flags:

Open email before sending – downloads the .eml file so you can open it in your email client.

Preview before print? – opens the report in preview mode. From there, you can review it and click Continue to send, which will then send the email automatically.

If you don’t want to use these options anymore, simply disable the flags.
It’s up to you to decide what works best. Please set your print destination according to your needs.

Hello @AmirO ;

Thanks for your response. Can you please also tell me the path for those options “Printer before print” ? and “Open email before sending”.
I did not find this form/ setup.

Regards

Hi @AnujR,

That is done in the Docentric Email print destination. Please see the first image in my last reply in this forum thread.

If you are not familiar with the Docentric Email print destination, I recommend checking the next video: https://youtu.be/JE5hLvZMyYM?si=Z81KMGOs7BNgBV1j
