Docentric Email Distributor Batch VS default email batch

Hi there,

Just a quick question. To use Docentric email "CC’, “BCC” filed in print management>Docentric Email, we will have to run Docentric Email Distributor Batch.

Will there be any potential conflict with the system default “Email distributor batch” running at the same time?

Hi Yuan,

No, it won’t be a problem, because for the emails you are going to send (Email Distributor Batch), you already have the data for "CC’, “BCC” filed.

Thanks. Much appreciated your prompt response. Does that mean i can redundant the default email batch, and run docentric only?

Hi @Wei_Yuan,

That is correct, you should to run only one batch job. If you run two, the first batch job that runs will send out an email, and if that is a batch job that is not Docentric, you’ll miss all of our improvements, including fields like “CC” and “BCC.”

This means that the Docentric batch job works the same as the default “Email Distributor Batch,” but the Docentric improvements will only be added when using the Docentric Email Distributor Batch.
