Thank you for sharing the information.
We are aware and in constant communication with Microsoft regarding changes that will be implemented regarding D365FO connections with Azure storage to act proactively and implement eventual changes to Docentric product. The changes that Microsoft is implementing are not necessarily tied to certain FO version but made on infrastructure level.
I can share the one of changes that is coming is related to the access to internal Azure storage that is provisioned for each D365FO environment. Microsoft will restrict browsing access to internal Azure storage meaning that if you are saving reports to internal Azure blob storage, you won’t be able to retrieve them.
We will continue to release relevant hotfixes to all features which are affected with breaking changes by Microsoft to mitigate the effect on our customers.
@SemirT, you mention that internal Azure blob storage ‘access’ is being restricted going forward.
Can you further elaborate? Does this mean the internal blob storage should no longer be used?
Does this affect the usability of the DEMI add-on, which relies on the Azure Blob storage for storing the previously printed invoices?
Microsoft enhanced security by switching to (Entra ID) managed identity role-based access for D365FO internal Azure Storage account and gradually deprecating the older storage account key method. Please see the Blog Article where the effect of this is explained in detail.
This does not affect the DEMI Add-on. Please note that the reports should not be stored on the internal Azure Storage account since you will no longer be able to access it with the Azure Storage Explorer.
