D365 release 10.0.40 with Docentric 3.4.8.2 - Cannot access Sharepoint

Hi, we have D365 release 10.0.40 deployed with the Docentric 3.4.8.2 hotfix which includes the hotfix for Sharepoint legacy authentication.

On print managment, when we try to setup the Docentric save to Sharepoint we get the following error:

  1. An error has occurred while communicating with the SharePoint server ‘green.sharepoint.com’.
  2. Unable to obtain SharePoint access token. Details: An empty access token was returned. Authorization to SharePoint not possible.

Are there additional steps required to enable the legacy authentication?

For reference Install version info:

Installed product version : 10.0.40 (10.0.1935.78)
Installed platform version : Update64 (7.0.7279.111)

Hi CCullen,

can you confirm that you can connect to SharePoint by going to Document management parameters, and clicking the Test SharePoint connection button on the SharePoint tab?

Hi Dalila, we are not able to connect on our Dev vm with the hotfix. We are able to connect on a tier 2 with 10.0.40 and no hotfix - screenshot below.

Hi CCullen,

Could you check with your network admin whether the machine you’re using has access to the Sharepoint?

Thanks Dalila, we were able to get the Docentric hotfix deployed to our tier 2 and can now connect to Sharepoint.

We are having the same problem. Where do you get the hotfix from?

If you go to the downloads section - Download - Docentric AX and enter your info you will get an email granting access to the download center - Download Center - Docentric AX

Thanks, we’ve got the install now and will be applying it to a test environment today. Fingers crossed it fixes our issue as well
