I’m having an issue where the table overlaps when generating multi-page reports like Customer Invoices, Free-text Invoices, and Customer Account Statements. The footer also gets misaligned because of this.
I’m new to Docentric and would really appreciate any help or suggestions on how to fix this.
Great to hear you are learning Docentric! This problem isn’t really about Docentric. It is more about how Microsoft Word works. The issue happens because the tablein your template is set as a floating element. Floating elements stay in one fixed position, so when a table grows across multiple pages, it can overlap with other content.
To fix this, make sure your table is not floating and anchor them so they move naturally with the rest of the content. This will prevent overlapping and keep everything lined up correctly.
Thanks for the information. In my case, the table property is set to None, meaning it’s an inline object rather than a floating one.
Should I check any other properties, or is there another solution you’d recommend for this issue?
Thank you for your message. To provide an accurate suggestion, we would need to review your report template. Could you please send us your .docx and .ddsp files at support@docentric.com?
We look forward to assisting you. Wishing you a great day!
