Preserve table width when hiding columns with visual format override

Hello everyone,

I have a sales order confirmation table with Discount and Discount percent columns.
I’ve enabled visual table format overrides like Sanja shows in the If Tagging element video.

When there is no discount % or discount amount in any rows, and those columns are removed, this is the result I receive in the live preview:

Note now the right most column in the table, Amount, no longer lines up with teh Subtotal table.

Anyone know of a MS Word / Docentric method I can use to allow the Description column to grow in width?

Some settings already in place:

Any ideas or sugggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks again.

So I tried turning on this option: Table Properties, Options, Automatically resize to fit contents:

That gives me the result I want:

I hope this helps other forum readers.

Hi, thank you for your reply. I have tried, but didn’t work. Do you have any other ways to make it work.
Thank you

Hi Yamini,

welcome to the community!

Can you try selecting the table, then going to Table Properties → Column and setting the preferred width for all columns to be 50%?

That should give you the desired output.

Thank you, that works for me.
