Database upgrade from docentric version xxx to version yyy error

Hello guys, first post here.

In our AX d365fo env ( on premises ) i’m randomly receiving this notification:

Database upgrade from Docentric version 3.3.9.1 to version 3.4.3.1 at 14/04/2023 09:24:30: Error occurred while upgrading DB: System.Reflection.ReflectionTypeLoadException: Unable to load one or more of the requested types. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions property for more information. at System.Reflection.RuntimeModule.GetTypes(RuntimeModule module) at System.Reflection.Assembly.GetTypes() at Microsoft.Dynamics.Ax.Xpp.DictClass.Getattributedclasses(String attrName) at Dynamics.AX.Application.DocUpgradeManager.fillUpgradeSteps() in xppSource://Source/Docentric AX\AxClass_DocUpgradeManager.xpp:line 27 at Dynamics.AX.Application.DocUpgradeManager.fillUpgradeSteps() at Dynamics.AX.Application.DocUpgradeManager.run() in xppSource://Source/Docentric AX\AxClass_DocUpgradeManager.xpp:line 84Less than a minute ago

It’s the 2nd time now, and I’ve the feeling it’s popping up after a restart of all the aos.

Any hint on what may be the cause/how to fix it, or event how to investigate it further?

Thanks

Hi Jovica, thanks for your response.

Ok for the latest version, I’ll ask our partner to upgrade it.

my question was mainly about why we get that error about v 3.3.9.1 when we actually have v 3.4.3.1 installed and working.

I’ve the feeling we have something not properly configured and would like to get ahead of possible issues

Hi,
According to the notification you sent, I understood that you were upgrading from 3.3.9.1 to 3.4.3.1 but I see that you actually have version 3.4.3.1.
It could be that some artifacts were not installed properly or some upgrade steps were skipped on your side, so I highly recommend you to follow the upgrade steps described in the articles that I mentioned in my previous reply. All of our customers followed the described procedure and they didn’t have problems with the installation/upgrade process.
Please let us know if you have any issues. We are here to help you.
